I love you
Really? You don’t think I’m a traitor to “Amurrrrican values”??? I don’t understand the people who preach the morality of hard work, yet degrade the very individuals who come here, put up with hard working conditions, take low wages and are thankful that they have...
I support open borders and welcome all immigrants who come here to seek a better life. What is inherently wrong about it? Oh, right— it’s illegal. But you see, I don’t believe that because something is illegal, it is therefore, wrong. Immigration is not, in and of itself, a violent crime, and you cannot stop the flow of immigrants with laws, amped up security, and closed borders....

what will they use next? I wonder what the one after Mountain Lion will be called. Also, there are lot of things about Lion that I don’t like, but I don’t believe I can install Snow Leopard on top of a newer version, so I guess I’ll have to wait. But wait, can you install an older OS X on to replace a newer version? Is that possible?
This has been a useless post.
Someone told me that I should be tried for treason for opposing war with Iran. Go ahead, you dumb bitches. I will never support militarism against a nation that has never attacked us. War with Iran is in direct violation of everything I hold dear, and if I’m a traitor, well, at least I’m a traitor who is faithful to her personal principles. I love my people, not any government policy....
I really wish people would stop hoping for a film adaptation of Catcher in the Rye.
The Great Gatsby movie.
Leonardo DiCaprio as Gatsby. Has he done a single film in which his character didn’t die at the end? There has to be at least one, and I’m not sure about Inception.
My favorite DiCaprio movie is Blood Diamond. My least favorite is Titanic (go ahead and criticize me for that). I hated Titanic.

U.S. House Votes to Make Protests Illegal →
Just when you thought the government couldn’t ruin the First Amendment any further: The House of Representatives approved a bill on Monday that outlaws protests in instances where some government officials are nearby, whether or not you even know it.
The US House of Representatives voted 388-to-3 in favor of H.R. 347 late Monday, a bill which is being dubbed the Federal Restricted Buildings and...
I think too many people misunderstand libertarians. Libertarianism is not about blindly worshipping Ron Paul or any other libertarian thinker. For me, it’s about the absence of coercion. I am a libertarian because I value my freedom and yours. I want for each of you to have the liberty to pursue your goals, create your future, mold your life around what you enjoy doing without the...

When people use popular or bad science to make political claims. Feel my rage. Imagine how angry I become when people who have no understanding of what I’ve given my life to would make assertions such as, “vaccines cause mental retardation” or that “human nature” is completely controlled by biology. Biology is a contributing factor to behaviorism, but I’m now...
I should integrate liberty into medicine. I’ll start by looking up volunteer opportunities and side projects within the liberty movement. I can do further research into free-market medicine. I should travel to more places and meet with more libertarians to discuss important issues. I should attend a Ron Paul rally as a volunteer. I spent a couple months shadowing a psychiatrist who worked...
I met with my academic counselor today. We reviewed my MCAT score, recommendation letters, GPA (science and composite), and other credentials such as research, clinicals, and additional extracurriculars.
He sat chewing on his pen for what felt like millennia, then he grimly looked at me and shook his head.
He said, “You have excellent credentials. Professors and mentors like you. All...

I like how everyone questioning the science behind women and oxytocin levels shut up once I linked to a few websites.
It’s true: a woman bonds with a man during orgasm in a way a man does not bond with a woman. A woman bonds with her baby in a multitude of ways during childbirth and bearing that a man does not do.
So, feminists should really just shut up when they’re talking...

I’m very concerned about those who think that science is some “speciesist” system just because they disagree that, according to biology, you cannot actually be an otherkin. There is, however, a psychiatric disorder by the name of dissociative identity, for which there is professional help. Oxford Comma Dropped →

Nobody uses whom anymore, people willfully split infinitives, sentences purposefully ended with prepositions, and now the serial comma is to be avoided as a general rule. Prescriptivists are likely going to be really pissed a new edition of an Oxford University guide suggests a comma can be used, however, if it assists meaning or resolves ambiguity. OMG! A style guide...

I was doing brain surgery on Rick Santorum. I swear, I woke up in cold sweat.
Dear Family,
Stop trying to tell me to study law. Stop trying to tell me to study law. Stop trying to tell me to study law. Why would you want me to study law? Isn’t medicine something Asian elders love, too?

the thing that, lately, has stricken me as curiously odd about libertarianism is that it is an ideology, a political philosophy, that strives not to achieve a goal, to work towards creating something, but to restore a lack of something, to return to a deplenished state of voidness. Liberty in the libertarian conception is a fundamentally negative one; liberty, to the...
My friend is trying so hard to convince me to consider taking Marxist Theory and History with her.
I’d rather take Embryology or Molecular Genetics, but on the other hand, it’d be kind of cool to learn a bit more about the “other side,” and I’ve taken a lot of science courses already. I’ve also taken my MCATs, so now it’s just pretty much winding down.

I am 1000% pro-marriage equality, but I’d rather have the government step out than continue to grant marriage licenses. What right do they have? I think that the definition of marriage is unique to every person and their partner(s) and the government really shouldn’t be involved in legitimizing...

I’d say that a large majority of my friends aren’t libertarians. Though I find it difficult to reconcile with someone who supports something as horrific as war.
I know. It’s hard for me too, which is why the majority of my friends aren’t hawks....
My favorites.
Libertarians: Petro, Justin, Nick, Ricardo, sexyliberty (what’s your name?), Jayel, Cal, Conza, Scott, Molly, Val, Roxanne, and Dan.
Political opposites: both Sams, Fatima, Leon, Michael, Anna, Race, and Merk.
I forgot quite a few actually.
